My role of the HR director is to lead and manage the human resources department of the organization. This involves overseeing a variety of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. I am also the designated individual within the organisation who is responsible for overseeing the organization’s data protection and privacy practices. As the Data Protection Officer (DPO) I work to ensure that the organisation comply with relevant data protection laws and regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
I have worked in various operational and strategic management roles within the social care industry for the past 15 years including as a Facilities and Compliance Manager and Regional Operations Director before commencing my journey into Human Resource Management over the last 3 years.
